Clean, dry and secure storage facilities
If you happen to visit us it's unlikely that you will encounter a single piece of furniture in the many aisles of the warehouse. We endeavor to store everything into our industry standard 250ft3 or 7m3 wooden containers. Other items such as ladders and curtain rails are placed in a designated area and long rugs are placed flat on a specially designed pallet. At present we have over 320 storage containers in our depot, which has 24hrs security and also remote video surveillance. The building is situated on a privately owned industrial estate with access gates and provides a perfect environment for the containers, free from dust, humidity and extreme climatic changes. For your peace of mind we also provide insurance cover(for flooding, fire and theft) while your goods remain in storage through Mapfre, Spain's largest insurance company.
An insight into containerised storage
There is more to storing things than meets the eye. Properly stowing goods into a container requires experience and, of course, a bit of common sense. It's a known fact that a customer can waste a lot of space by not following certain techniques such as interlocking dining chairs or placing sofas on end. Because containers are moved from time to time by means of a fork-lift, the weight of each container has to be distributed evenly. Heavy items are placed on the deck and lighter ones above so as to not make it "top heavy". Items that aren't bubble wrapped get blanket wrapped to protect both the item in question as well as the surrounding ones. Once a container is full, it gets labelled and placed in an aisle within the warehouse. The positioning of each container is also noted so the store man knows exactly where it is at all times. Any oversized items that aren't able to fit in the container are labelled and noted on a separate sheet. We are able to store most things, from household furniture and personal effects to commercial goods and motorcycles.
Unfortunately there are certain items that cannot be allowed into the warehouse, these include:
Poisonous, flammable or corrosive items such as fuels, paints, varnishes, insecticides, bleach, oils, matches, candles, propane, butane, paint thinners, aerosol cans & cleaning chemicals, Illegal items, Perishable goods that may attract vermin such as food, Furniture that contains woodworm or termites, Firearms or ammunition, Animals, Live plants, Drugs, Jewelry and Original documents such as insurance policies, wills, birth certificates.
